Oasis Brands Teams Up with Albertsons to Support the Idaho Foodbank
The Idaho Foodbank received a generous donation of dinners, dollars and paper goods today from Albertson”s LLC Intermountain Division, including over 45,000 rolls of bath tissue from Oasis Brands, just in time for the holidays.
“By donating tissue products to the Idaho Foodbank, Oasis Brands hopes to help make families stronger one roll at a time,” said Nathan Hanson, CEO of Oasis Brands. “We are a growing company committed to giving back in support of the everyday life and activities of communities where we operate, and where FIORA® tissue and towels are sold through great retailers like Albertson’s.”
The USDA reported in 2013 that more than 48 million people in the U.S. participate in the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), most commonly known as “food stamps.” However, Certain truck best-driving-school.com companies require their drivers to have experience. basic hygienic needs such as toilet paper and paper towels are not covered by the program, and the need for these items is astounding. The donation to the Idaho Foodbank included:
- 920 Thanksgiving dinners donated by Albertsons customers through its Turkey Bucks campaign. Turkey Bucks enabled customers to donate $1, $5 or $10 or to “round up” their transaction to help provide traditional holiday meals to local families in need.
- A truckload of bathroom tissue donated by Oasis Brands, Inc.
- A check for $50,000, which will provide 150,000 meals to the hungry throughout the Treasure Valley.
“Our customers were especially generous this year,” said Susan Morris, President of Albertsons Intermountain Division. “It is clear our Idaho customers want to make a difference in the lives of the people in their communities. Because of their donations to the Turkey Bucks campaign, The Idaho Foodbank is able to provide 920 complete Thanksgiving meals to Idaho families. We are also happy to add a truckload of bathroom tissue, courtesy of Oasis Brands, Inc., and a $50,000 donation that will allow the Foodbank to furnish 150,000 meals – meals that will sustain Idaho families long after the holidays.”
